Model turned actor John Abraham [Images] suffered minor injuries following a motorbike accident and has been admitted to the Lilawati hospital in Mumbai.

Abraham hurt his left ankle and knee after the motorbike skidded while avoiding a pedestrian crossing the road in suburban Khar, police sources said.

After the accident around midnight, Abraham went to the Lilavati hospital in suburban Bandra for an X-ray and was advised hospitalisation. He was admitted to the hospital and his condition was now stable, hospital sources said.

Meanwhile, police has registered a case of negligent driving against the actor.

"The actor has suffered injuries in left ankle and knee but there is no fracture. The MRI result is also all right. Abraham's condition is stable and is being monitored continuously. He is likely to be discharged in the next 12 hours," doctors attending on him told PTI.

This is the second time the actor has been admitted to the Lilavati hospital. On earlier occasion, in December last year, the actor suffered a bronchitis problem while shooting for a film in Afghanistan.
