The Hero marks the debut of former Miss World (2000) Priyanka Chopra. Her next release will be Suneel Darshan's Andaaz (costarring Akshay Kumar and Lara Dutta).

The fact that both films are two-heroine projects does not faze Chopra in the least: "It does not matter if they [The Hero and Andaaz] are two-heroine projects because they are good films. It is better to share the limelight and win than go solo and sink."
