Talaash is an unqualified flop

2002 was considered a bad year for the Hindi film industry. Everyone in the business hoped that Talaash, the first big release of 2003, starring Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor, would break the jinx. Unfortunately, it did not.

The other release of the week, Tujhe Meri Kasam saw the debut of Maharashtra Chief Minister's son Ritesh Deshmukh. It was largely unimpressive.

Note: Films are ranked below on the basis of their performance at the BO every week. Though a film may be declared a flop, it may have performed the best among the other films that particular week.
