You said it:I have not seen the film, the film might be good but I think its an insult to R D Burmans music, pleeeaasee..for gods sake leave him and his music alone. I am a big R D fanatic and there are many like me, I have his each and every recorded song. The original songs are available, then why do you want to recreate those beautiful melodies ? rather if mahadevan wanted to give a tribute, he should have used the original tracks and played them in background..it is not necesarry that the actors should lipsynch the songs. Stop spoiling old songs in the name of tribute or remix...if any music director can create something even close to what rd did..it will be a real tribute to R D.

You said it:Why do people get only RD's song to play with. Anyway, one must appreciate Vivek ,Anant and Bablu for having atleast remembered the great genius RD. Else people only talk about RD,rarely do they think about him. May be re-picturising the originals rather than re-creating the originals would have been a better option. The new generation would have had the pleasure to see their idols dancing to the old classics. By doing so the new as well as the older generation would have been satisfied. Hope somebody remembers RD this way. Atleast one can do away with voices like Kumar Sanus and Alka Yagnik trying to match Kishore and Lataji.

You said it:When I first heard about transferring RD songs to other movie, I was enthusiastic about watching Lata & Kishore coming alive once again on big screen with better photography. But what I heard was a poor imitation of RD gems. I just can't tolerate Kavita singing a Lata-RD song or Hariharan-Abhijeet-Kumar Sanu mutilating a Kishoreda song. As an ardent Pancham-Lata-Kishore fan, this experiment is just a rape to my ears. I desperately hope that this experiment is a super-flop, so that no body will try to re-create a Pancham song. Too bad that Panchamda got the recognition after he expired. His soul may be crying in heaven by seeing the way people are constantly mutilating his songs, including his wife Asha. I hope some one sincerely takes effort to stop this remix-craze of RD songs so that the original is preserved. Otherwise our next generation will hear remix song and praise Kumar Sanu and the composer instead of praising the real person behind it. May God punish vivek vaswani, anant mahadevan and other people who came up with such a bad idea.

But when i heard the songs. i didn't feel same. here nobody is claiming superiority to RD. But still that music is definitely not takau (as mentioned by that paper). It is beacause that music is not for those who are commenting like this as RD has given them what they were wanting and this is what youth wants hence there is no need for shouting for those for whom this music is not made rohit
