June 28, 2002 saw the Big Apple swinging to Bollywood's beat at the Bollywood Fashion Awards held at the Manhattan Center Studios in New York.

These international awards, in their second year, honour outstanding achievements of Indian fashion designers over the last year. The brainchild behind the Awards is the New York-based Sonia Dandona, the daughter of Kamal Dandona; chairman of the Bollywood Group of Companies.

Seen here is actress Urmila Matondkar, one of the event's star attractions, who presented some of the evening's awards.
