No more remakes, please!
Readers' take on Awara Paagal Deewana.

Name: Shrinath
You said it: Awara Paagal Deewana is a horrible remake of The Whole Nine Yards. Why do our filmmakers copy Hollywood flicks so much? No originality at all!

Name: Swaroop
You said it: Our films will flop unless and until our directors stop copying Hollywood movies! If you want to remake a Hollywood film, do it properly. You can't add Hindi film jhatkas and matkas to make a film work! Awara Paagal Deewana is a copy of The Whole Nine Yards and, if this trend continues, I am afraid the reign of losses in Bollywood is going to continue.

Name: Ari
You said it: I am not sure so about the movie, but I know will enjoy the NYC (New York City) locations because I live here.

Name: Anand
You said it: I don't agree with your review. I feel it's not such a bad movie after all. Johnny Lever comes up with amazing one liners. Paresh Rawal is the BEST as you said. Of course, songs are not that good. But over all, film is worth watching once at least. Anyway different folks, different strokes. I loved Hera Pheri very much. Thanks for giving us a chance to state our views.

Name: Arpit Khanna
You said it: I like action movies and in my opinion this is the best film because the action is very aggressive and amazing. This will certainly attract the audience. Secondly, it stars my favourites: Sunil Shetty and Akshay Kumar.

Name: YATS
You said it: I would say that this film is a huge disappointment for all Paresh Rawal fans. The music is another huge letdown. I don't think it is even worth watching once. I guess only the stunts are good but, again, if one has seen The Matrix then they would not be impressed at all.

Name: Jimy
You said it: Awara Paagal Deewana is one of the most stylish thrillers attempted on this side of the Pacific, with all sorts of jokes and slapstick thrown in to enliven the proceedings. A glossy product, it takes a step forward in terms of technique, but stagnates when it comes to the script. To an extent, director Vikram Bhatt succeeds in his mission of making you laugh, even if logic takes a backseat and the wafer-thin story line is stretched beyond a point in the second half. Despite a half-baked script, the film holds your attention, especially in the first half.

Name: Abhijith Bhat
You said it: The movie is fantastic. The comedy is well written, well directed and well depicted. Such films are long awaited by Indian fans. The music is good (not as bad as stated in the review). The action is just as good as a Hollywood film. Overall, I give at least nine stars of 10 to this movie.

Name: Rohan R Katkar
You said it: This movie is a complete rehash of the Hollywood comedy called The Whole Nine Yards which starred Bruce Willis, Matthew Perry (Chandler of Friends fame), Christina Applegate (Species) and Michael Duncan Clarke (The Green Mile).

Why did the producer and director even bother to copy this film? After Lagaan, I thought the Hindi film industry must have taken a few pointers from Ashutosh Gowariker and Aamir Khan. But it looks like we will never learn from our own mistakes others' accomplishments. The original flick was a light comedy with every character given equal importance and footage. The remake spells disaster from the word go.

I mean what kind of a name is Guru Gulab Khatri or Yeda Anna??? Jesus!!! Just when you think it couldn't get any worse, you're hit by this. Is there no hope left at all?
