Bipasha Basu reinstates her position as the hottest star on the block. Her guest appearance in Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai is sure going to win the audiences over.

Interestingly, most of the films in Bipasha's kitty now are with Vishesh Films, the production house owned by the Bhatts.

Vikram Bhatt, who directed her in Raaz, has cast her in three other films. His next venture Footpath with Bipasha and Aftab Shivdasani goes on the floors June 20.

Apart from the projects with Vishesh Films she also has David Dhawan's, Chor Machaye Shor and Nehle Pe Dehla.

Boycott Saroj Khan?

The Federation of Western India Cine Employees has issued a notice to producers affiliated to the Association of Motion Pictures and TV Programme Producers asking them to boycott choreographer Saroj Khan.

The dance director has been blacklisted as she has defaulted on payments to junior dance artistes.

This marks the second time that Khan has been boycotted. She was ealier taken to task for not paying the dancers for Sanjay Bhansali’s Devdas. At that time, she made a part payment and was to pay the balance later. But as that payment was not yet made, the FWICE has no choice but to declare her a defaulter again.

It is believed that Khan has taken the payment from the producers of Devdas and Hum Kisise Kum Nahin but not passed it on to the junior artistes yet.

Khan, it was announced recently, is also making her debut as director with producer T P Agarwal's next venture. Agarwal had earlier produced Bharat Bhagya Vidhaata.

Simran mobbed in Chennai

A soft drink promotion campaign in Chennai proved to be a bitter experience for actress Simran, who was mobbed by fans at various parts of the city, on Friday.

At several points, the actress had to make a hasty retreat into her car as the fans pulled her shirt and touched her. At Arapalalaym, police even lathi-charged a group when the actress screamed after one of her fans pinched her.
