Rumours mills have it that director Aditya Chopra is ready to start his follow-up to his blockbusters Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenga and Mohabbatein.
Word is that the director has finally decided upon the subject of his next film. Apparently, he has been in talks with Shah Rukh Khan for the lead.
We'll keep you posted.
Another nomination for Monsoon Wedding
Aamir Khan was hoping that his blockbuster Lagaan would bag a nomination at the forthcoming BAFTA awards. Tough luck for him, as the selection committee has chosen Mira Nair's Monsoon Wedding instead.
The BAFTAs are the British version of the Oscars. Monsoon Wedding, short-listed for the Best non-English language film category is hoping to get lucky, this time around too.
Abbas Mustan sign Bobby again
Bobby Deol seems to be a favourite with directors Abbas-Mustan. After working together in Soldier, Ajnabee and a Venus project, the duo have signed Bobby for yet another project to be produced by Rajiv Tolani.
Incidentally, the directors have completed the Venus project, starring Bobby, Amisha Akshaye Khanna, in a span of four months. And they have also signed on Akshay Kumar for a film to be produced by Gordhan Tanwani.
Animation film on Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel
Sardar Patel - the 'iron man' of India will soon be seen in SD animation.
A slew of proposed films on Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, has added to the new wave of Sardar-mania that is probably set to overshadow even Mahatma Gandhi.
Efforts to build a 31-feet bronze statue of India's first home minister in the US is also on the way.
Mumbai-based filmmaker Sanskar Desai is working on an ambitious project -- 10 to 12 one-minute-long animation films, highlighting various aspects of the Sardar's personality, philosophy and work.
