Review

Enter the sets of Sooraj Barjatya's Main Prem Ki Deewani and you will find Hrithik Roshan deeply engrossed in his scenes, memorising his lines with the sincerity of a school kid.

On the other hand, Abhishek Bachchan is cool and unfazed. He is continuously playing pranks, fooling around or horsing around with unit members.

Even with Sooraj he is on "Hey come on Sooraj-chill out" terms, while Hrithik remains focused and mouths those formal "Yes sir, no sir" lines.

Now if Hrithik's performance comes in focus, we know who to blame.

Goodness Gracious Aamir

Aamir Khan It's been a while since Lagaan released, and still Aamir Khan has not yet signed any new film.

He is still sitting with his Sarfarosh director John Mathew Mattan over a script.

The actor is busy campaigning for the Oscars.

Instead of asking the director to wait, Aamir graciously suggested that he went ahead without him. He even recommended Akshay.

But John has all the patience required, as he prefers to wait till Aamir has the time and necessary dates.

Rock 'n' Roll is Raveena's key mantra

After realising her bearings as a commercial actress, Raveena Tandon has decided to accept every single offer of performing at stage shows that come her way.

With a spate of hit numbers under her belt, including songs from Aks, there are plenty of takers.

However, it irks the organisers, as she ends up as she ends up performing the same items everywhere, including the recent award functions.

But as long as the moolah keeps flowing, Raveena is dancing her way to the bank.

Larger than life

Anil Kapoor After turning producer in partnership with Satish Kaushik with Badhai Ho Badhai, Anil Kapoor is leaving no stone unturned in making the film a winner.

For a particular song sequence, in keeping with the mood and demands, AK donned the garb of Adnan Sami.

Being the perfectionist, he took several dress trials and had an equal number of trials for the get ups, reveals an insider from the unit.

Needless to say the entire song and the look is kept under wraps for what could be one of the highlights of the film.

Beautiful Urmila gets bold

Urmila Matondkar has suddenly become a bold girl.

Earlier her lips were sealed about her alleged relationship with mentor Ramgopal Varma.

But now, the actress goes out with Ramu for cozy dinners and is spotted zooming in his car with the windows down.

What's more, Urmila has also been spotted being dropped home in the wee hours of the morning in Ramu's car.

Bold, eh?

Namrata's forecast

Namrata Shirodkar Namrata Shirodkar’s opinion of the talents to look out for raises a thought.

She cites Arjun Rampal and Karan Nath in the same breath.

Karan Nath, she says, is a dark horse who will hit the number 1 position very soon.

We might add that Rikku, Karan's father, is secretary to Namrata and, earlier, to Shilpa, her elder sister.

Bokadia prefers Mahabaleshwar to down under

K C Bokadia has changed venue.

While other filmmakers move on from the sylvan Swiss valleys to newer pastures, Bokadia goes ahead and shoots the two songs of his latest film, Hum Tumhare Hai Sanam (Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Madhuri Dixit) at a local hill station Mahabaleshwar.

Though he contemplated shooting the songs in New Zealand or Australia, Bokadia justified that when there were better locations in the country, why go overseas?

Kudos to the stars of his film, who neither complained nor threw tantrums. Instead, they went out of their way to make the producer feel comfortable.
