Awards for Raveena, Saif, Manoj Bajpai

Raveena Tandon's performance as a club dancer in Rakesh Mehra's Aks won her the Best Supporting Actress Award at the Star TV Screen Awards for 2001.

Saif Ali Khan's endearing comic, yet sensitive, portrayal of Samir in Dil Chahta Hai won him the Best Supporting Actor award.

The best performance in a negative role was, unanimously declared, Manoj Bajpai and his eerie Manu, in Aks.

Shammi Kapoor, the 1970s romantic hero, who won hearts with his performances films like Kashmir Ki Kali, Bachelor, Dil Deke Dekho, Junglee, Shama Parwana, Teesri Manzil and Ahista Ahista, among others, won the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Gracy Singh's ebullient portrayal of Gauri in Ashutosh Gowariker's Lagaan won her the Best Newcomer (Female), while Arjun Rampal was adjudged best male newcomer in Rajiv Rai's Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat.
