Lagaan sweeps the FairGlow Zee awards

Lagaan was the clear winner at the FairGlow Zee Awards ceremony held at the Centaur Hotel in Juhu, Mumbai, this evening. It won the awards for Best Film and Best Story. Lagaan's Ashutosh Gowariker was chosen Best Director while its heroine, Gracy Singh, was named for the Best Debut (actress). Aamir Khan won the Best Actor award for his performance in this 19th century saga.

Tabu was named Best Actress for her performance in Chandni Bar, while Tusshar won the Best Debut (actor) award for Vashu Bhagnani's Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai.

Sunny Deol and Kajol won Best Outstanding Performance awards for Gadar -- Ek Prem Katha and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.

Saif Ali Khan was named Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Dil Chahta Hai and Madhuri Dixit was named Best Supporting Actress for Lajja.
