Hrithik nominated for award

Hrithik Roshan, Bollywood's current heart-throb, has been nominated along with Shah Rukh Khan and Sanjay Dutt for the best Bollywood actor award by the Non Resident Indians in the United States.

Tabu (Astitiva), Aishwarya Rai (Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai) and Karisma Kapoor (Fiza) have been nominated for the best actress award. The awards will be presented on April 28.

Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai, Mission Kashmir and Mohabattein are the choices for best film.

Matinee idol Dev Anand will receive the prestigious Evergreen Star of the Millennium Award and Ashok Amritraj will be honoured with Pride of India Award.

Mohabbatein, Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai, Mission Kashmir and Fiza are among the most popular movies among the NRIs, the chief executive officer of Bollywood Awards, Kamal Dandona, said on Wednesday, February 28.

The NRIs poll for nominations for Bollywood Awards and an experts panel picks the final winner from the first three choices.

Bollywood movies are very popular among NRIs and now several movie theatres screen them regularly, Dandona said, noting the overhwhelming response to their poll.
