Big B for Lanka

P Mohan Das Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek will be shooting in Sri Lanka for the under-production Suryavansham.

Despite tight financial conditions, Bachchan's ABCL not only hopes to produce films but also to diversify into television, and training of artistes.

"ABCL is very much functional though we have toned down our activities," he said at a press conference in Colombo yesterday. Suryavansham is a re-make of a Tamil hit.

Bachchan said ABCL would start production of two films in the next two years and that both were in the planning stages. One of them also stars Abhishek while the other, directed by Rakesh Mehra, stars Manoj Vajpayee.

In Suryavansham, Amitabh does a double role, that of father and son, and the story revolving around family values.
