New administrative system for better governance, claims Mayawati

After a massive reshuffle in state administrative machinary, Uttar Pradesh [Images] Chief Minister Mayawati [Images] said on Monday that a new system for better governance will be put into place by June 1.
   
"The state has been divided in three schedules and 26 sectors. Each sector would incorporate three districts for which a sector incharge would be appointed. Separate sectors would be created for law and order," Mayawati said during a review meeting with the senior police and administrative officials.
   
The CM said that additional director general of police rank officials would be made incharge of schedules, incorporating different sectors.
   
"The new system would come into effect from June 1. Similarly separate system would be created, wherein an additional cabinet secretary and principal secretary home will visit districts and review law and order and development works. They will report directly to me," Mayawati said. The Chief Minister said that she would conduct inspections at a short notice of 24 hours.
