Advani calls up PM, extends good wishes

After repeatedly targeting him during the campaigning, senior BJP leader L K Advani [Images] today called up Prime Minister Manmohan Singh [Images] to congratulate them on the victory of the Congress-led UPA in Lok Sabha elections.

Advani, who was the prime ministerial candidate of the BJP, greeted Singh as also Congress chief Sonia Gandhi [Images] for their success in the elections and gave his good wishes, his office said.

Earlier, BJP had conceded defeat to Congress-led UPA in the elections.
