UP withdraws NSA against Varun

Complying with the Supreme Court directive, the Mayawati [Images] government in Uttar Pradesh [Images] today revoked National Security Act against BJP leader Varun Gandhi [Images] for allegedly delivering hate speeches in Pilibhit [Images].

"Following the Supreme Court order, the state government has revoked NSA against Varun Gandhi", a senior government official said.

Varun was arrested under NSA on March 29.
