Jarnail Singh, the journalist who came into limelight after he flung a shoe at Home Minister P Chidambaram [Images] at a press conference, did not cast his vote in election saying he does not believe in any political party. "As of now, no party deserves my vote. So I am not voting in this election," Singh, a resident of Lajpat Nagar and a registered voter in New Delhi [Images] Lok Sabha constituency, said.
Singh had created a storm after he protested against Chidambaram not giving him a "convincing" reply at a press conference when he questioned the minister over the Central Bureau of Investigation's clean chit to 1984 anti-Sikh riots accused Jagdish Tytler and Sajjan Kumar who were earlier named as Congress candidates from Lok Sabha constituencies in Delhi.
The shoe-throwing incident led to huge protests against Congress' nomination for the two anti-Sikh riots accused and the party had to withdraw their candidature and name new candidates for the two Delhi seats.
