Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav [Images] on Monday allegedly threatened a senior lady official of this district asking her to mend ways within a week or else he would register a complaint against her with the Election Commission.

"Being a woman, I respect her and am restraining myself and not using harsh words against her. She should mend her ways within a week or I will make a complaint against her with the Election Commission", Yadav said while addressing an election meeting in Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh [Images].

Yadav alleged the way in which the District Magistrate (who is also district election oficer) was cancelling arms licences had created an atmosphere of terror in the district.

"This is also affecting my elections and it is not tolerable", he said. "She has lost her sense to discriminate between a criminal and a common man. She should get her head cheked", Yadav said angrily.

The SP supremo lashed out at Superintendent of Police Mainpuri S R S Aditya in connection with the killing of a student at his native place Saifai in Etawah.
