Even as the Bharatiya Janata Party [Images] leader Shatrughan Sinha on Tuesday expressed confidence of getting a party ticket from the Patna Sahib seat for the ensuing Lok Sabha elections, Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh [Images] said SP's doors are always open for the 'Shotgun' if "his heart is broken".

Sinha had come calling on Amar Singh at his residence in New Delhi [Images] on Tuesday afternoon "to enquire about his health".

"I do not consider any party as untouchable. I have friends in all the political parties. Amar Singh is a good friend. There is no talk of switching loyalties. As I am in the BJP, where does the question of my joining any other party arise?" was Sinha's poser to media persons outside Amar Singh's residence.

Sinha shot back the reply to a question whether SP would be an alternative for him if BJP denied him a ticket. To another question on his chances of getting a BJP ticket to contest the Lok Sabha elections, Sinha said he was "sure of getting the ticket. When the Bihar list is announced, I am sure my name will also figure in it. You look at my face, my body language. I am relaxed."

Amar Singh, who came out to see off Sinha, said, "So far, his proposal to contest the election from Patna Sahib is pending with the party."

"Since no political party is untouchable for him, I repeat what I have said on several occasions that Koi jab tumhara hriday tor de, tarapta hua jab tumhe chor de, tab tum mere pas ana priye, mera dar khula hai, khula hi rahega tumhare liye," (My doors are always open for you if someone breaks your heart) Singh said.

But at the same time, Singh stressed that it would not be appropriate for media persons to give a "political angle" to the meeting.

"Shatru ji is a friend. He is like a brother. He came to know that I was unwell. It is a strange situation that no one will come to my house to know about my well being. Why do you see such meetings with a political angle," he added.

Asked whether Sinha's heart is about to be broken, Singh suggested that the question should be asked to BJP leader L K Advani [Images]. "As of now, Arun Jaitley's [Images] heart is broken, he is also welcome," he added.

A few days ago, when Sinha was reportedly facing resistance from certain quarters of BJP in getting a Lok Sabha ticket, Amar Singh had said his doors were always open for the actor-turned-politician.
