Unfazed by the Congress fielding popular TV actor Shekhar Suman [Images] against him from the Patna Saheb Parliamentary seat, actor-turned-politician Shatrughan Sinha on Tuesday said that it is heartening to see that, "the Congress, which has lost political ground in the heartland of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh [Images], is bringing people from nowhere to keep itself alive".

"People will have fulsome entertainment and relief from grueling politics and will thank Congress for it," he said before leaving for a whirlwind campaign in Bihar.

Welcoming Suman, Sinha, who was a member of the Union cabinet in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government, said it would not be clash of two personalities but between two parties.

Reminding media persons that ultimately it would be the voter who compares the personality, popularity and contribution of candidates for Bihar, the `Shotgun' Sinha said he had been serving his motherland for a long time.

"Besides giving funds for construction of a large number of roads, I helped in setting up one of the premier cancer hospitals in the country in Patna and other schemes run by Red Cross," Sinha, a two term Bharatiya Janata Party [Images] Rajya Sabha member from Bihar, added.
