37 NDA Jharkhand MLAs leave for Ranchi

March 10, 2005 10:13 IST

The 37 Jharkhand members of Legislative Assembly, including five independents, who were staying in Rajasthan, left for Ranchi by a chartered plane on Thursday, ahead of the trust vote in the state assembly on Friday.

The MLAs, accompanied by senior BJP leaders Rajnath Singh and Ananth Kumar, left in an Air Deccan chartered plane at 0910 IST from Sanganer airport, 15 km from Jaipur, party sources said.

The MLAs were staying at the Sunrise Resorts and a private farmhouse on Sikar-Ajmer highway since March 4.

The Supreme Court on Wednesday advanced the trial of strength by four days to March 11, virtually staying the Shibu Soren government's move to nominate an Anglo-Indian representative to the assembly.
