Cong supports RJD bid in Bihar

The Congress on Wednesday sent a letter to Governor Buta Singh extending the party's support to the Lalu Prasad Yadav-led Rashtriya Janata Dal's bid to form the next government in Bihar.

All India Congress Committee secretary in-charge of Bihar affairs, Harikesh Bahadur, sent the letter of support to Lalu.
 
The letter was received at Lalu's wife and Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi's official residence on Wednesday afternoon, the sources said.

The letter pledges that all ten Congress MLAs will support the RJD in forming the government.

Lalu has also received a letter of support from the Communist Party of India-Marxist, while the Communist Party of India is likely to send its letter later in the day, the sources said.
