INLD promises five lakh jobs in Haryana

January 20, 2005 13:52 IST

The ruling Indian National Lok Dal in Haryana on Thursday promised five lakh jobs in the next five years if it is returned to power in the upcoming assembly election in the state.

The party, in its manifesto for the February three election to the 90-member assembly, which was released by party president Om Prakash Chautala in Chandigarh, also said it would continue the development works so far undertaken by the government.

The manifesto also promised to increase the per capita annual income to Rs 50,000 from the present Rs 26,000.

Describing the 12-page manifesto as 'brief, simple and impressive', Chautala said the party had not made any promise that could not be fulfilled.

He said the INLD would win two-third majority in the election.
