Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday night sought to pacify agitated Congress supporters sitting in dharna outside Congress chief Sonia Gandhi's 10, Janpath residence demanding that she should accept the prime minister's post.

He did say a few words suggesting that they should call off the dharna but they were drowned in the slogan shouting asking Sonia to reconsider her decision against taking up the high office.

Rahul went inside after spending sometime.
