CPI to join Cong-led govt if other Left parties do

The Communist Party of India on Monday announced that it would join the Congress-led government at the Centre provided all other Left parties do so.  

Addressing a press conference, CPI general secretary A B Bardhan said that participation of the Left parties would help provide stability to the coalition government.

To ensure unity and cohesion among the Left parties, either the whole Left joins the government or it keeps out, Bardhan said adding that it would not be a unilateral decision.
