30% polling in J&K till 1300 IST

An estimated 30% of the voters exercised their franchise in the final phase of the Lok Sabha election in Ladakh and Udhampur constituencies of Jammu and Kashmir till 1300 IST, Monday, a state election department official said.

While Udhampur constituency polled 25.90% votes, Ladakh polled 38.40%, the official said.

Kargil, in Ladakh, recorded the highest percentage of over 50.70, the official said.

Doda district, which witnessed multiple grenade attacks and firing incidents early in the day, witnessed 21.66% polling.
