May 05, 2004 15:18 IST

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav is taking his role as kingmaker quite seriously.

In a chat with television channel NDTV, Yadav said that when the time comes he will decide the name of the new prime minister 'in an hour'.

He also kept options opens on whether he would be joining the National Democratic Alliance or support the Congress-led alliance. "Lot of parties are leaving the NDA and more will leave soon," he said.
