Rahul Gandhi to visit Amethi on March 29

March 27, 2004 18:05 IST

Rahul Gandhi, the Congress nominee from the Amethi Lok Sabha seat and son of party president Sonia Gandhi, will pay a two-day visit to the constituency from March 29.

"Rahul will meet party workers, office-bearers and people of the constituency during his stay there and also hold meetings," Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee spokesman Akhilesh Pratap Singh said on Saturday.

Rahul had last visited Amethi in January with his sister Priyanka and had carried out a mass-contact programme on behalf of his mother.

Sonia Gandhi represented the constituency in the last Lok Sabha.
