Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) president Simranjit Singh Mann, whose party had threatened to block Deputy Prime Minister Lal Kishenchand Advani's Bharat Uday Yatra, was on Wednesday arrested along with 14 others.

Sangrur Senior Superintendent of Police G S Dhillon said the SAD (A) leader was arrested under sections 107/151 (apprehension of breach of peace) of the Indian Penal Code.

Mann, a member of the dissolved Lok Sabha, had threatened to block the yatra at Khaman in Fatehgarh Sahib district, where it reaches on Thursday.

Dhillon said Mann was arrested immediately after he completed his address at an election rally at Dirba.
