Media magnate J K Jain joins Congress

Former Bharatiya Janata Party Rajya Sabha member and media magnate J K Jain on Wednesday joined the Congress.

"Today it is the duty of every patriotic person to defeat the BJP-led NDA government... I thank Congress president Sonia Gandhi for giving me the opportunity to fight against the BJP-led saffron forces," Jain, who owns Jain TV, said at the party headquarters in New Delhi.

Pratap Khacheriwal, Vice-President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat's nephew, also joined the Congress.

Party leaders Ambika Soni, Mohsina Kidwai and Natwar Singh welcomed them into the Congress fold.
