Pull down ads, EC to government

The Election Commission on Tuesday asked the central and state governments to remove all hoardings and advertisements put up at the public exchequer's cost.

Announcing this, EC spokesman AN Jha said the commission also sought a compliance report from the governments.

He said there would be a sizeable number of hoardings and advertisements in the country.
