Sonia commences two-day road show in Haryana

After visits to Uttar Pradesh and Orissa in the run up to the Lok Sabha election, Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Wednesday commenced a two-day road show in Haryana on Wednesday.

Haryana Congress president Bhajan Lal is accompanying Gandhi.

The Congress president is scheduled to visit a number of districts in the state, including Faridabad, Gurgaon, Rewari, Bhiwani, Jhajjar, Rohtak, Hissar, Fatehabad, Jind and Sonepat.

In Faridabad on Wednesday, the Congress chief made brief halts at Badkhal Chowk and near the district Congress office. She, however, did not speak to the media.

Sonia's convoy also passed through Palwal and Sohana in the adjoining Gurgaon district. She will also visit Nuh and Taoru areas of Gurgaon district before moving on to Dharuhera and Rewari.

Later in the day, she is scheduled to drive through Dadanpur, Machrauli, Silani in Jhajjar district, Kalanaur and other areas in Rohtak district; and Dadri, Bhiwani, Tosham and Khanak in Bhiwani district. She will spend the night in Hissar.

On Thursday, she will address meetings in Hissar and visit Barwala in the district. Later she will visit Uklana Modh and Tohana in Fatehabad district; Narwana and Jind in Jind district; and Gohana, Sonepat and Rai in Sonepat district.
