This follows appeals by the Bharatiya Janata Party to countermand the election in Chapra in view of large-scale violence and rigging allegedly by RJD activists.

The EC team comprising senior officials K J Rao and Ananth Kumar will also look into all other complaints, the sources said.

The team is likely to leave for Chapra on Saturday.
