Akhilesh Das, the Congress candidate in Lucknow parliamentary constituency, on Monday withdrew his nomination.

This followed Independent candidate Ram Jethmalani reiterating his resolve to take on Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in Lucknow.
