PM has assets valued at just over Rs 50lakh

Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee has Rs 25.75lakh in term deposits in the State Bank of India and owns a flat worth Rs 22lakh in New Delhi's posh East of Kailash locality.

According to the affidavit submitted by him on Thursday while filing his nomination papers for the Lucknow Lok Sabha constituency, Vajpayee has Rs 3.82lakh in a savings account in SBI, Rs 20,000 cash and Rs 1.20lakh in National Saving Scheme certificates. He owns a 1995 model Ambassador car and 2400 units of UTI MEP-1991.

He does not own jewellery, agricultural or non-agricultural land. He has a share in his ancestral house at Gwalior valued at Rs 6lakh.

He has no loans to repay nor any government dues pending against him, the affidavit states.
