Advanis are worth around Rs 1.3 crore

Deputy Prime Minister Lal Kishenchand Advani and his wife Kamla are worth around Rs 1.3 crore.

While filing his nomination paper for the Gandhinagar parliamentary constituency in Gujarat, Advani declared before the returning officer that he has Rs 6.33 lakh in cash and fixed deposits while his wife has about Rs 1.45 lakh in cash.

Two flats in Heritage City in Gurgaon, Haryana, owned by Advani cost about Rs 60 lakh while one in Gandhinagar is estimated at Rs 25 lakh.

Advani has also invested Rs 6.05 lakh in non-banking institutions, Rs 60,000 in debentures, 10 lakh with Templeton India Builders and Rs 4 lakh in ICICI Income Growth Plan.

His wife, besides having FDs, invested Rs 9.8 lakh in Surya Roshini Limited and another Rs 20,000 in Daural Organics and Swayam Infotainment Pvt Ltd.

The family has jewellery worth Rs 7 lakh.

The Deputy PM said he and his wife have no motor vehicle nor do they own any agricultural land, according to the affidavit.

Advani's liability and dues are to the tune of Rs 5.54 lakh.
