Digvijay to try his best to defeat brother

April 05, 2004 20:28 IST

Former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Digvijay Singh will try his best to ensure the defeat of his younger brother and Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Laxman Singh from Rajgarh Lok Sabha seat.

He said in Rajgarh on Sunday that the Congress had fielded Shambhu Singh, who had the image of an able and efficient candidate, against his brother.

He said his brother was not yet acceptable to BJP workers and had become laughing stock after quitting the Congress.
