Case registered against Uma Bharti's brother

A case has been registered against BJP star campaigner Uma Bharti's elder brother, Swami Prasad Lodhi for allegedly using intemperate language during poll rallies in violation of the election code of conduct.

District Superintendent of Police Umesh Joga told PTI that Gramodyog Minister K P Singh filed the case. Lodhi is the BJP candidate from Pichhore assembly constituency.

Joga said Lodhi has been accused of violating the provisions of model code of conduct by using intemperate and indecent words in public meetings in the area.

Joga said the case has been registered under sections 153 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and 125 of the Representation of Peoples' Act.
