Counting of votes in Mizoram, where elections were held on November 20, started at 0800 IST, Tuesday.

All eyes are on the Mizoram-Myanmar border constituency of Champhai, where a royal battle was fought between Chief Minister Zoramthanga and his predecessor and state Pradesh Congress Committee chief Lal Thanhawla.

Over 78.58 per cent of the 5,33.634 voters exercised their franchise. There were 192 candidates in the fray for the 40-member assembly.
