Full EC team to visit J&K on Friday

Election 2002 The full Election Commission headed by Chief Election Commissioner J M Lyngdoh will visit Jammu and Kashmir on Friday to review the arrangements for the third phase of assembly polls in the state scheduled for October 1.

Lyngdoh, along with Election Commissioners T S Krishnamurthy and B B Tandon, will visit Doda and Jammu districts for two days and interact with civil and police officials on the poll arrangements, including security.

The full commission has already visited the state twice in the recent past.

Twenty-seven assembly constituencies in Pulwama, Anantnag, Kathua, and Udhampur districts will go to the polls on October 1.
