Mufti practising sectarian politics: Panthers Party

Election 2002

Activists of the Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party took out a procession in Srinagar on Wednesday against People's Democratic Party chief Mufti Mohammed Sayeed.

They accused Sayeed of practising 'sectarian politics' on his insistence that a Kashmiri should be the chief minister.

Nearly 1,000 workers and leaders of the JKNPP led by state unit chief M A Khan raised anti-PDP slogans for 'placing hurdles' in the formation of the new state government.

Khan also appealed to the governor to form a 'national government' in the state headed by their party leader, Bhim Singh, if the delay in forming a government continues.
