National Conference worker, wife shot at in Lolab, J&K

Election 2002 Unidentified militants shot and injured a National Conference party worker and his wife in the Lolab area of Kupwara district in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday.

Sadiq Mir and his wife Sara Begum were shot at in their house in Chuntiwari and they were taken to a hospital in Srinagar.

Kupwara goes to the polls in the fourth phase on October 8.

In another incident, two policemen were wounded in a grenade attack in Mattan in Anantnag district in south Kashmir on Thursday night.
