NCP announces first list of 69 candidates for Gujarat election

The Nationalist Congress Party announced its first list of 69 candidates on Saturday for the Gujarat assembly election.

The list includes names of 14 candidates from reserved constituencies, five former legislators, besides some senior party leaders, a party release said.

The party has chosen candidates from Sabarkantha and other tribal dominated regions to get their support.

Kalikumar will contest from the Godhra constituency and J M Shah from Rajkot-II, from where Narendra Modi was elected to the state assembly.
