Pandya's name missing from the fourth list too

Haren Pandya, former Gujarat revenue minister and archrival of Chief Minister Narendra Modi, found himself left out in the cold yet again on Saturday when the Bharatiya Janata Party announced the fourth list of candidates for the assembly election scheduled for December 12.

The fourth list has 11 nominees. With this the BJP has announced the candidates of all, but four of the 182 constituencies.

Among the four remaining constituencies is Ellisbridge from where Pandya was elected last time.

Announcing the list, party general secretary Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said Deputy Prime Minister Lal Kishenchand Advani would launch the BJP campaign in the state from November 30.
