30 per cent polling till noon in Dhubri

More than 30 per cent of the nearly one million voters exercised their franchise in Assam's Dhubri Lok Sabha constituency till noon today, amid tight security.

Long queues were seen outside several booths. No untoward incident was reported from anywhere.

Eight candidates are in the fray.

The election in Dhubri was adjourned following the killing of Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Pannalal Oswal by suspected United Liberation Front of Asom militants.
