Enormous security dragnet for Advani's TN visit

Elaborate security arrangements have been made for the September 5 election meeting of senior BJP leader and Union Home Minister L K Advani at Kattankulathur in Chengalpattu district of Tamil Nadu.

This was in the wake of reported infiltration of ISI activists in some parts of the state to disturb the elections.

According to the Chengalpattu East police, about 2000 police personnel, including the Rapid Action Force, would be deployed for security purposes. Advani would address the meeting from a bullet-proof podium. Visitors would be barred from entering the Madras airport when Advani arrives in the city on that day.
