DMK exploits Rajni charisma despite his ban

E-Mail this report to a friend

Even though superstar Rajnikant has barred the political parties in Tamil Nadu from using his pictures or speeches for next month's Lok Sabha poll, parties still seem to find ingenious ways to exploit his charisma.

At a public meeting in the Chepauk segment of the central Madras constituency, where Dravida Munnetra Kazagham chief and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi sought support for former Union industries minister and his nephew Murasoli Maran, a special skit was staged to eulogise the chief minister.

In the skit, a DMK supporter sporting the famous Rajnikant hairdo mimicked the star and re-enacted the title song sequence from the superstar's latest super hit Padayappa, much to the delight of the crowd. Only the lyrics of the song were changed to shower praise on Karunanidhi, the DMK and the National Democratic Alliance.
