I am the best candidate: Seshan

''The Congress is the best party, I am the best candidate and Gandhinagar is the best Lok Sabha constituency,'' said former chief commissioner T N Seshan on his arrival in Gandhinagar this morning. He is taking on Union Home Minister Lal Kishenchand Advani in the constituency.

In an interview to UNI, the former bureaucrat claimed that all the parties had contacted him to contest elections from various places, but he preferred the Congress offer as he felt that this was the 'best party'. He will file his nomination tomorrow.

Seshan said since his retirement he had been trying to use his 'power' for the development of the country.

''I got an offer from the Congress to contest from Gandhinagar, and I accepted it immediately.''
