    This is one of those quick reference news sources, featuring the Associated Press stories. Worth an occasional browse, rather than a daily visit.

    The site that brings some order to the cricketing chaos -- in the form of rankings for players, worldwide. No ranking list can ever escape debate and criticism -- but this one is easily the best system extant, with due weightages given to the various variables. The archives of previous rankings is one of my favourite pit stops -- the past, in this case, helps put the present in perspective.

    The Bible of cricket -- at least by its own admission. Definitely not the same as reading Wisden Cricket Monthly, but you get three quality stories in each issue. Plus a very decent records compendium. And, for what it is worth, the Wisden cricket rankings.

    A cricket site linked from both The Age, Melbourne and the Sydney Morning Herald, this one is pretty nifty when it comes to live commentary, nice interface and peppy talk from the boys in the box. Also has some excellent reports and lots of Australian and World cricket news.

    Has loads of pictures, information and other trivia on Rahul Dravid. The chats, updated statistics and the fan club add to the allure.

    Easily the premier cricket site on the Net, and my secret envy. It's got everything -- detail, comprehensive global coverage, interactivity, the works. Plus a stats section that is the ultimate argument-winner. Be very, very hard put to come up with a criticism -- the only thing I could come up with is a tendency to freeze when exciting cricket is happening. But then again, that merely signals enormous popularity -- and don't we all wish we had that problem! Link to the nearest mirror site and bookmark it... believe me, it's one of those sites you want to visit once a day, if not oftener.
