India may have won the just-concluded ODI series against the West Indies 4-1, but the scoreline certainly belies the intensity of the contests.

The West Indies did have their moments of ascendancy, winning the third ODI at Ahmedabad, and running India close in the final one in Chennai on Sunday.

But, on the whole, the hosts dominated the series, which saw Rohit Sharma emerge the leading run-scorer on either side and Ravindra Jadeja India's leading wicket-taker.

For the West Indies, Kieron Pollard headed the batting charts, while Kemar Roach was amongst the top wicket takers.

A look at India's leading players in the series.

Rohit Sharma

It was a series Rohit Sharma will cherish. Making a comeback to the side, he had an almost perfect script as India heads to Australia later this month.

From five innings, he aggregated 305 runs, at an average of 76.25, including three half-centuries. His highest was in the second ODI at Vizag, scoring a match-winning 90 from 98 balls. For all his efforts, he was deservedly adjudged man of the series.
